Keeling Neely, Meredith

Name: Keeling Neely, Meredith

Title: Weston Agrifood Sales Program Advisory Board

Texas A&M Class: 2002

Inducted: 2025

Biography

A native Texan, Meredith was born in Lubbock and raised in Franklin, Tx. Frequent visits to College Station for athletic camps and sporting events ignited a lifelong connection to the University, its values, and developed a deep admiration for Texas A&M University at an early age.

Growing up, Meredith split her time between her hometown and a ranch near Marble Falls, Tx, where her family operated a cow/calf business. Her rural upbringing, coupled with a competitive spirit as both a tennis player and equestrian, laid the foundation for her future in agricultural business and real estate.

Meredith earned an Agribusiness degree from Texas A&M University in 2002. As a student, she actively engaged in student life and took several animal science courses to stay connected to her agricultural roots. One of her most memorable experiences while at A&M was the opportunity to participate in a tri-state field trip with Dr. Howard Hesby.  Following graduation, she had a brief job as a salesperson in Houston before returning to her agricultural background through real estate.

Upon returning to the Hearne area, she earned her real estate license and pursued her appraisal license. Under the mentorship of Brian Stephen with Paramount Property Analysts located in Bryan, Meredith earned her license as a General Certified Appraiser – the highest level of licensure available in Texas.

Driven by a desire to do things her own way, in 2008 she started her own business, REAPP LLC, and teamed up with her father in his existing real estate business, DK Land Company. She grew their business by focusing on strong client relationships, integrity, and repeat service—values instilled by her father and now central to her own professional ethos.

In 2017, Meredith was asked to join the Icon Global (IG) team, a Dallas based real estate firm, known for representing some of the most significant land transactions in the U.S., including sale of the historic Waggoner Ranch. Licensed in both Texas and New Mexico, she actively uses her broker’s license and her experience as an appraiser. She represents buyers and sellers, performs research and analysis for listings, manages IG’s entire online data platform, and provides strategic consultation to clients.

Since graduation Meredith has been an active member of the College of Agriculture Development Council (COADC). She has served on the executive committee for a total of eight years with her most recent role being that of Chairman (2022-2024). She has the desire to grow the COADC as a resource for the College and its students. She describes this group as an opportunity to be a part of something bigger than yourself and in 2021 established an endowed scholarship called the COADC Hope Endowed Scholarship. In 2024, she was appointed to the inaugural advisory board for the Weston Agrifood Sales Program within the Department of Agricultural Economics. She also serves as a mentor to young women navigating their careers post-graduation and has returned to campus as a guest speaker on numerous occasions.

Meredith values relationships and emphasizes how God has placed many good people in her path. She credits those close relationships as the foundation of her success. Serving others and seeing needs met is essential to who she is. She tends to focus her philanthropy towards helping young people and believes that a single act of kindness can change a person’s trajectory. She was taught by her mother at an early age that kindness doesn’t cost a thing. She tries to focus on what’s good in people and to be guided by God’s Word, not that of the world.

Meredith and her daughter, Tessa, reside in Franklin where they share a love for quarter horses and actively compete in western performance horse classes at AQHA events.
